In an effort to enhance my digital painting skills, I set out on a personal project to paint 12 digital portraits. I selected a collection of photographs from the Portraits for Drawing blog and other places around the web and set to painting! Using a Wacom Cintiq and programs like Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop, I completed these 12 pieces over the course of one and a half years. Each portrait taught me new skills and techniques, and in each I tried to add my own spin from the source material.
